Applewood Farm Winery's Apple Jack has a dark caramel colour with aromas of smokey baked apples, vanilla and spice.
It has intense baked apple flavours with complex tannins showcasing heavily charred oak, with notes of cinnamon and vanilla. This Applejack is sweet, well balanced and has a long, smooth, lingering, finish.
This amazing representation of modern Applejack is a must try. Bottled from a small batch that was aged for four years in French and American oak barrels, this Applejack is sure to please the most discerning palate.
With 21% alcohol, it is packaged in a 750 ml whisky bottle, complete with waxed covered stopper and an old-time label design that would make this Applejack a wonderful gift. But don't wait, contact Applewood Farm Winery right away as this one will not last and is going fast.
Pair with dried fruit, nuts, or any rich flavoured desert. Also fantastic to sip on its own, or you can be adventurous and try adding a shot our two to a cup of hot apple cider for a very warming winter delight.
The cider maker told me he crushed just over 40,000 pounds of apples and then freeze reduced the juice to just 2000 litres. He then fermented the concentrated juice and did a final fortification to bring the alcohol up prior to aging for four years in oak.
