Hammer Bent Hard Cider is the original hard cider produced by the Twin Pines Orchards & Cider House. It is made of a delicious blend of Northern Spy, Ida Red, Golden Russett and Jona Golds.
It has a clear, golden yellow colour, forward apple aroma and luscious, fresh, crisp apple flavour with hints of pear, peach and spice. You will experience a rich, full mouth feel and long rounded finish.
This semi-off dry cider is lightly carbonated and tickles your tongue as you taste it. It has 6.3% alcohol and is packaged in a brown 1 litre, resealable bottle.
Enjoy well chilled, or allow this beauty to warm up in the bottle to expose its full flavour potential.
This cider has a well balanced acidic backbone and pairs nicely with full flavoured foods including curry and hot spicy dishes.
I look for a safety seal, such as a clear shrink on this type of bottle. There is not one in this case.
Twin Pines Orchards & Cider House did not see an apple harvest in 2012. As such this cider was likely made from 2011 apples, giving this creation more time in the bottle.
It has been my experience when using this type of resealable bottle that the seal is inconsistent. It is possible for carbonation to be lost over time or when the product reaches room temperature. Because of this, it is impossible to be certain what level of carbonation the cider maker intended.
