This certified organic off-dry cider is made of Newton Pippin apples blended with Vancouver Island grown apples such as Winter Bananas and Sunsets. I really like the crisp structure and subtle aromatic apple notes. Other aromas dance out of the glass too such as pineapple and fresh cut melon.
Although this cider is off-dry, to most it will taste like a dry sparkling cider. This has to do with well balanced acids giving the cider structure along with an alcohol content of 9.5%.
A very good cider that is fresh, clean and delightful. It is packaged in a clear resealable 750 ml bottle and will look good on any table.
When considering pairing options, keep in mind the acidic backbone of this cider and choose foods that have complimentary structures. If you cook with cider, this would be a great choice. I recently made a potato, leek, carrot soup using cider as the base. The end result was a perfect pairing with Sea Cider's Pippins.
