Stair's Pears originated in England and are known as the Bartlett Pear in Canada. The same fruit is also known as the Williams Pear and is used to create some of the most aromatic brandies in the world.
This brandy was made from 100% B.C. Bartlett Pears that were slowly fermented, then triple distilled in a copper pot still, 200 litres at a time. The brandy was then blending and aged in French oak barrels for over 6 years.
Stair's Pear Brandy has a light golden colour and generous aromas of fresh crushed pears with smoky undertones. This rich fruit aroma is a true sign of a well made brandy.
Smokey oak penetrates the amazingly intense pear flavours creating balance and structure. This luscious brandy has a long finish and very well rounded mouth feel that keeps the smoky pear flavour in your mouth for several minutes after each sip.
This unique craft creation is packaged in an attractive 375 ml bottle, complete with wooden topped stopper. With 40% alcohol this delightful and intriguing elixir of life is sure to warm your cockles.
What are Cockles you ask? Simply put, they are the important depths of the human heart; easily warmed by quality alcohol :-)
When tasting brandy, it is best served in a ‘snifter’ at room temperature. Swirl it in the glass, enjoy the aroma and the pleasure of sipping it slowly.
